Levitation, How?

In our most recent assignment in photography we learned how to edit photos to make them appear as levitating.
In this blogpost I will tell you how to how to achieve that effect and what you need.
First things first, what you'll need. We used a Canon T7 camera with a 18-55mm lens.
We also used a tripod (This is necessary) then, you need something to stand on like a chair. And ofcourse props, hats, badges, anything that looks good floating.

All of our photos for this project were taken at f/8 f-stop, 1/640 second exposure, and a ISO of 200.
We considered the background and the subject while taking our photos.
Stuff like what the subject would be doing. What props were floating, and how their facial expression would come across.
We used my friend's Joseph's hat, my glasses, and our photo passes to get unique floating effects.

I feel this photo worked well, mainly because you can watch Joseph's hat float away and his badge is levitating upwards, despite being overcast leaving no shadow.
We still were able to achieve a floating effect because of the ramp in the background.
The ramp makes it make no sense on how he's floating and it doesn't look like he's just tall.
Next time we do a photo like this, i'd prefer if we did it on a sunny day to leave a shadow and maybe another prop like cape to get a flying effect.
