My New years was an eventful one, I did many things with my friends and family. unfortunately I did not take many photos and I was sick for 3 weeks straight.

Even though when I was sick it felt like forever and when I was healthy my break ended in a snap I did try new things.

Two cats sleep on a festive blanket under a Christmas tree with colorful ornaments. Presents and a cozy holiday vibe complete the scene.
Two cats peacefully nap on a cozy blanket beneath a decorated Christmas tree, surrounded by festive ornaments.

This was one of the photos I took a week before christmas after I set the tree up with my family.

The reason I took this photo was because I liked that our younger kitten is sleeping next to our old cat underneath the tree.

Speaking in photography terms, I did like how the older cat was farther in the background near the shadows and that the cats are off center in the frame towards the bottom demonstrating a little bit of rule of thirds.

The little parts of the tree that droop downwards over the cats reminds me of frame in frame as they are fashionably obscured.

This was when I went with my older Uncle to a car show he was attending because he has a 1934 Studebaker which is 1/25 known to exist.

I took this photo because I really liked this classic mustang and how clean the engine bay was.

In photography terms, I like how the light was reflecting off of the paint. Once again the heart of the car, the engine, is slightly off center in the frame letting it catch the viewer's eye.

I like how the open engine bay gives a frame for the engine to be displayed in. The smooth curves of the body to the transition of the hard and mechanical straight lines of the engine is a nice touch that makes this photo feel completed to me.

Overall, despite being sick for most of it. I had an amazing time this winter break with my friends and family.
